Everybody Wants A Piece Of Her HEart
The excitement of playing and recording together in the same room for the first time in well over a year can be heard and felt in the recording of this track. Until now, we seem to have temporarily forgotten how easy it is to connect as a band -- and once again, we're all naturally and thankfully locked back in musically.
I wanted this track to be pure and raw - it felt new - it was not overly-crafted - it was a moment in time - and I will always remember the satisfaction of playing together, despite any naturally-occurring flaws. The energy and personal connections seemed so rare and so important to me. I'm looking forward to doing more of this!
Now, about "Boat Girl"
She's intriguing, isn't she? ...and from a simpler time - a shot captured in 1955 on Cape Cod, unearthed by me by way of a long-lost Kodak "Kodaslide STEREO Viewer II" from an antique shop, which was sort of a high-tech gadget of the early 1950's. I lined my phone camera up with one of the viewfinder lenses to capture her here forever. I wish that you could view it in 3-D/"stereo" like I can do with this nifty back-lighted Kodak contraption -- it's magical. I'd love to somehow reunite this amazing photo collection with its originating family members -- and I can't help but wonder if Boat Girl is still with us.
